Android Dream App
Alaska Communications Systems (ACS) had an idea for, well… a site about ideas. “App” ideas to be specific. They were soon going to be launching the brand new Android phone and needed start promoting it. Deadlines were looming when ACS and their marketing firm Lottsfeldt Strategies sought out our help.
The concept was to create a website that would allow users to submit ideas for new Android applications. Users of the site would also be able to vote and comment on app ideas that had already been submitted. The most popular ideas would be voted on by ACS, who would then pay for the development of the winning ideas.
Threshold was given an almost inconceivable deadline to both design and develop the site, considering its scope. We knew if we could pull it off, we’d be a Heroes. We set straight to work producing a clean and crisp design that would be the hub of their promotional plans. Disregarding weekends, dentist appointments and any concept of sleep, we integrated a Content Management System , including all of the customized bells and whistles (or ringtones). We met the deadline and launched our idea of a site well done.
