Ruby Jewel

Reimagining, rebranding and repackaging an absolutely delicious Portland mainstay.

Portland Farmer's markets have been home to many well known brands in their infancy, and Ruby Jewel is no different. Starting in 2004 slinging ice cream cookies from a cooler, the company quickly grew a large and loyal fan base. Appearances on the Food Network and in The Oprah Magazine added fuel to the fire and provided the momentum that got the company to where it is today: three brick and mortar locations and a national distribution plan that is well under way.

Reimagine, but retain the brand equity.

Ruby Jewel's original logo wasn't strong, but it was deeply associated with the company by its customer base. Our approach was born out of needing to retain the brand equity their original logo and supporting material had, while at the same time creating something totally custom and unique to the company. The result was a hand lettered logo that contains a hidden nod to their product, along with vibrant, clean packaging that sets their product apart on store shelves. Delicious, indeed.
